Empowering Adolescent Girls: Health and Hygiene Workshop at Shivaji High School

On December 17, 2024, a guidance session was organized at the Sanjeevani Health Temple for the seventh-grade students of Shri. Chhatrapati Shivaji High School, focused on adolescent girls' health, menstruation, and menstrual hygiene. Dr. Nausheen conducted an in-depth session aimed at educating the girls about these important health topics.

During the program, 100 students, who regularly commute from both nearby and distant areas, openly discussed their health concerns and issues. Dr. Nausheen provided detailed insights on proper hygiene practices during menstruation, the importance of self-care, and other related health aspects. She also addressed the physical and mental changes that occur during menstruation, offering practical advice for coping with these changes.

The session was attended by female teachers from the school, Mrs. Anjali Joshi and Mrs. Sunita Pandey, who encouraged the students and facilitated an open discussion. The teachers helped the girls address their queries and provided valuable guidance on the subject.

This session proved to be a crucial and informative experience for the students, empowering them to become more aware of their health and promoting a sense of responsibility for their well-being. The event successfully inspired the girls to take better care of their health and stay informed about important health topics.
