Naval Week Celebrations at Sainiki School: Virtual Guidance and Exciting Visits for Indian Navy Day

 


Indian Navy Day, celebrated on December 4th to honor the valor of the Indian Navy during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, was marked with a week of enriching activities for the students of Sagroli Sainiki School. Sub Lieutenant Yogesh Chakor from Bhosala Military School, Nashik, provided virtual guidance, narrating gripping stories of the 1971 war. Former student Sachin Kanjalkar also joined the session, sharing how the school inspired his journey into the Navy and encouraging students to actively participate in school activities.

The week began with students witnessing the Naval contingent's passing-out parade at NDA Pune on November 30th. They also visited the INS Shivaji Naval Training Center in Lonavala, gaining firsthand insights into naval operations. On December 4th, students watched the live telecast of Indian Navy Day celebrations from Jagannath Puri.

The week-long program concluded with virtual interactions with naval officers and alumni, inspiring students to pursue careers in the defense forces while deepening their understanding of the Navy’s critical role in national security.
