Spices Processing Training Program Empowers Rural Youth for Local Economic Growth
On December 20, 2024, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra and the Udyamita Learning Center, managed by the Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal, hosted a valuable training program on spice value addition and processing. The training aimed to equip rural youth with the skills needed for spice processing, contributing to local economic growth.
Dr. Madhuri Rewanwar led the program, offering detailed guidance and practical demonstrations on topics such as the nutritional value of spices, post-harvest processing techniques, preparation of various Indian spices, and the machinery needed to start a spice business. She also covered the stages of setting up a business, along with packaging, branding, and marketing strategies. Entrepreneurs from the Nanded district and Hingoli region participated, gaining valuable insights into building and growing their spice-related businesses.
